Stratford Mom Creating Learning Disabilities Support Group

A Stratford-area mother is putting together a support group for parents of children with learning disabilities.

Denyse Lagace has two sons with learning disabilities.  One is now in Grade 9 and the other in post-secondary education.

Lagace says she's learned a lot about navigating the education system and advocating for her sons, much of it without help.  So she'd like to share some of that experience with other parents who are dealing with the same issues.

Lagace says it can be very helpful to be able to talk with someone who's already been there or other times it's just comforting to know other people are dealing with the same issues.

She's asking anyone with children who have learning disabilities to contact here at 271-7294 or email her at [email protected].
