Parts Of Ontario Battered By Winds

Power has been restored following a few outages on Wednesday due to high winds in the area.

Around 200 Hydro One customers were without power in the Markdale area and another 150 were without power north of Owen Sound.  There were also scattered outages near Listowel and St. Marys.

Less than 20 customers remained without power near Markdale around 6pm.

The local number of outages don't compare to outages south of Hwy. 401.

Over 13,000 customers were without power near Petrolia and there were pockets of outages along the 401 corridor.

The Chatham-Kent area was also battered by high winds.
