Minto has a bidding war going on for a municipally-owned building lot in Clifford.
When word got out that a lot was for sale, Minto had four bids for it in 24 hours - ranging from $22,500 to $28,000.
Since no formal bid process was in place, Minto council has decided to return all four offers and ask each of the four to submit a sealed bid. The minimum bid will be $28,000.
Last year, Minto put 14 lots for sale in Clifford, expecting to sell a couple through the year. They all sold in a few months.
Minto is considering servicing another seven lots in Clifford.
