Huron County Health Unit Promoter Supports Pot Legalization

A public health promoter with the Huron County Health Unit says they support the legalization of marijuana.

Laura Edgar says they compared the consequences of prohibition with the benefits of legalization and regulation, and determined that the benefits of legalization and regulation outweighed any problems. Edgar points to the ability to keep marijuana away from minors as a major benefit, as well as limits on advertising and promotion and plain packaging.

Edgar adds by regulating the sale of marijuana users will know what they're getting, what's in it and how strong it is, which they don't know now.
