An early-spring storm will have an impact on Midwestern Ontario for the next 24 to 36 hours.
A special weather statement from Environment Canada indicates that precipitation with this system is expected to reach areas southwest of a line from northern Huron County to Hamilton Thursday morning.
It will likely begin as snow mixed with freezing rain and rain, then change to rain. Parts of northern Bruce, Grey and Wellington counties could see up to 5 cm of sleet and snow.

Mixed snow and rain could change to freezing rain by early evening. Periods of freezing rain are expected tonight with several millimetres of ice build-up possible, especially on trees and power lines. Gusty easterly winds to 60 km/h combined with the ice buildup may cause some tree branches to break, creating power outages.
Temperatures should climb to just above the freezing mark later tonight, changing any freezing rain to rain.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Rain will continue through much of Friday before tapering off Friday night. Total rainfall amounts in the 15-25 mm range are possible.
