Owen Sound police have arrested two men and are looking for another after a cab driver was robbed and threatened with a baseball bat.
The Owen Sound Police Service says on Wednesday around 11:30pm, three men were picked up by the cab driver on 1st Ave. W and were taken to a residence on 3rd Ave. W.
After a time they were then taken back to 1st. Ave. W, where one man pinned the driver's arms, while another went through his pockets. One of the men threatened to hit the driver with a baseball if he did not cooperate.
The cab driver was not injured during the robbery, but a quantity of cash was stolen.
On Thursday, officers raided a home on 1st Ave. W near 12th St. W and arrested two men without incident. A third suspect remains at large.
A 25-year-old Owen Sound man is now charged with armed robbery, uttering threats, possession of property obtained by crime, and weapons dangerous.
As well, a 48-year-old Owen Sound man is also charged with armed robbery, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with an order of probation.
Both men will appear in court on Friday.
