Meaford Transit Mini-Bus Fare Reduced

There will be a noticeable change on Monday for Meaford residents and visitors who’ve been paying four dollars a ride on the Meaford transit’s mini-bus.     The cost drops to two dollars a ride.

Also beginning Monday, the bus will make stops at four new stops along the route through Meaford.

The changes to the transit system, approved by council earlier this week, are the result of a survey among local transit users.   They will remain in effect until the end of the pilot project.

Meaford council also learned that the Municipality will receive a grant under the Canada-Ontario Public Transit Infrastructure fund for almost 56 thousand dollars.

Meaford will use the money to set up more bus stops and buy an Accessible Transit vehicle.
