Owen Sound Man Arrested Twice Within 24 Hours

An Owen Sound man is facing a number of charges after being arrested twice within 24 hours.

The Owen Sound Police Service says on Sunday, the man was arrested and charged in connection with thefts from unlocked vehicles. He was released from custody with conditions.

However, the man was arrested again on Monday around 11am, after a citizen reported seeing someone going through vehicles and acting strangely.

As a result, a 31-year-old Owen Sound man has been charged with three counts of theft, possession of marijuana, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break in tools and five counts of breach of probation.

The man is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
