Holstein's Walking Trails Could Soon Be Paved

Southgate will use $25,000 from its Canada 150 grant to help pay for paving walking trails in Holstein.

It includes a trail used by students walking to school at the north end of the village. It also includes a portion of the rail trail leading to the Holstein Park.

The project is going to tender with the stipulation that it be complete in time for Canada Day.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
