Parsons Earns the Knight's Game 1 Victory over Erie

Despite being out shot 46-12 the London Knights blanked the Erie Otters 2-0 in Game 1 on Thursday in the second round of OHL playoffs.

After a scoreless first period, Mitchell Stephens scored 14:23 into the second to give the Knights a 1-0 advantage.  Evan Bouchard added another goal to London’s lead after scoring with 34 seconds left in the frame. The Knights managed just six shots on goal in the second period.

Knights netminder Tyler Parsons was able to keep Erie at bay in the final period, stopping 18 shots to complete the shutout and give London a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

The Knights are in Erie on Friday for Game 2. The two teams face off at 7pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
