Second Survey On Waste and Recycling Options In North Huron

North Huron is conducting a second survey on solid waste and curbside collection services.

The township surveyed residents in January to help format a request for proposals for curbside collection.

The preferred service across the entire township was bi-weekly curbside collection of both garbage and recycling. That could save the township approximately $50,000, or about half the current cost of for curbside collection.

North Huron is asking ratepayers to respond to a more detailed survey that will identify preferred service options, household organic waste, and landfill hours.

The survey can be accessed online by visiting www.northhuron.ca. Hard copies of the survey may also be picked up at the Township of North Huron Municipal Office, North Huron Recreation Complex, and Blyth Community Centre.

Completed surveys may be returned in person, mailed or submitted online to the Township of North Huron no later than Wednesday, April 19.
