Bruce County Donates Mature Maples To Local Municipalities

Bruce County will be planting some special trees later this week.

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, 14 mature trees will be planted across Bruce County.

On Friday, one day before Earth Day, each of Bruce County’s local municipalities will be presented with a mature Sugar Maple.

There will be tree planting ceremonies at 11am Friday morning at the municipal office in Chelsey, Bruce Power Regional Soccer Park in Walkerton, Ripley Memorial Park, the Teeswater Fairgrounds, Saugeen Shores Police Station, and the cenotaph's in Tiverton, Hepworth, and Lion's Head.

Trees will be planted in six additional public locations in Bruce County on Friday, April 28.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
