South Huron Man Killed In Collision North Of London

A two-vehicle collision north of London claimed the life a man from South Huron.

Police say just before noon Saturday, a Dodge minivan heading north on Richmond St. near Eight Mile Rd. collided with the back of a Ford cube van, which was also northbound, but was stopped to turn into a driveway.

The lone occupant of the minivan had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was rushed to hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.  He has been identified as 54-year-old Thomas Dinney from South Huron.

The two people in the cube van were not hurt.

The OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team assisted at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
