Owen Sound Students And Police Pedal For Childcan

Hundreds of students in Owen Sound cycled for a cancer charity.

They were joined by members of the Owen Sound Police Service to pedal their way to raise more than $15,000 to benefit children affected by cancer.

The "InsideRide" was held at Owen Sound District Secondary School.

The Owen Sound Police team registered 20 km in the one-hour timed event, falling 10 km behind the winning distance.  They did, however, receive the medal for the most money raised by an individual rider.

Since 1974, Childcan has provided financial and compassionate support for families living in south western Ontario and facing the challenging journey through childhood cancer - from diagnosis, treatment, recovery or bereavement.
