Firearms Stolen During Grey County Break-In

The OPP are investigating after firearms were stolen during an early morning break in Grey County.

Police say a suspect fled a home on Osprey St. N in The Township of Southgate with the stolen firearms.

The homeowner awakened and confronted the suspect outside the home, but the man escaped.

A Chiappa M1 10-22 calibre carbine with a brown stock, a Ruger bolt action .22 calibre, black synthetic stock with a spider pattern, and a french antique silver/chrome revolver were stolen.

Police describe the suspect as a 5'8' male, wearing a camouflage jacket and a dark balaclava.

There were no injuries.

Grey County OPP, with the assistance of the Grey County Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit - Mount Forest, continues to investigate and ask anyone with information that may assist police, to call the OPP at-1-888-310-1122.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
