Pheasants Found Dead In Owen Sound's Harrison Park

Two Golden Pheasants have been found dead at Harrison Park in Owen Sound.

Police say it appears someone forced open the bird-stalls in the park late Wednesday or early Thursday morning.

Staff at the park alerted police to the mischief Thursday morning and reported that two Golden Pheasants were missing from their coop.

The two birds were found dead a short distance away.  Foul play is being investigated as a contributing factor in this incident.  Birds in adjacent stalls were not harmed and their coops were not damaged.

The Criminal Investigations Branch has been assigned to the case.

They are asking anyone who saw signs of mischief to the stalls in Harrison Park between 5pm on Wednesday and 9am Thursday morning to give them a call.
