Ribbon Cutting At Sacred Heart Catholic School In Mildmay

There is an official ribbon cutting ceremony Friday afternoon in Mildmay for the new addition to Sacred Heart Catholic School.

In May of last year, the Ministry of Education approved a $1.8-million addition.  Construction on two new classrooms plus auxiliary space was completed in November.

The new addition includes two large Kindergarten classrooms with a shared sensory space between them, a new literacy room, and increased custodial space and storage.

The new classrooms are also home to the Before and After School Program, operated by Kids ‘n Us Daycare.   By providing parents with this option for before and after school care, the school allows for a seamless day for students.

Improvements also provided a new entry, gym floor, and kitchen.

The ribbon cutting and blessing is planned for 2pm Friday afternoon.
