Mount Forest Celebrates Volunteers

A grade seven student from Victoria Cross Public School in Mount Forest, Riley Wake, was named Young Citizen of the Year by the Mount Forest District Chamber of Commerce.

The Friday evening awards ceremony was held at the Mount Forest Sports Complex.

A longtime Mount Forest volunteer, Donna Leach, was named Mount Forest Citizen of the Year.

Other winners included Ruth MacDonald, Shelly’s Just for You Spa, Roberts Farm Equipment, The Mount Forest Lions Club and The Mount Forest Museum and Archives.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
