Woman Assaulted In Hanover

Police in Hanover in looking for a man who assaulted a woman on the weekend.

Shortly before 3am Saturday morning, a lone female was walking east in the 300-block of 10th St. when she was approached from behind by an unknown man.  The man forcefully pushed the woman into a nearby alleyway. The woman resisted and the man again pushed her toward the alleyway, demanding that she comply. The woman was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-25 years old,with a small build. He was last seen wearing black jeans, black shoes and a navy coloured jacket with a yellow stripe on each arm.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Hanover Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
