Cyclones Jason Brooks Named OHA Coach Of The Year

Listowel Cyclones coach Jason Brooks has been named 2017 OHA Coach of the Year.

Listowel won only 16 games the year before Brooks joined the Cyclones prior to the 2014-2015 season, but have increased their win-total in every season since, culminating with 40 wins this year and the team's first Cherrey Cup victory since 2005.

Brooks played with the Cyclones before 105 career games in the Ontario Hockey League, taking the ice with the likes of Mike Peca & Alyn McCauley in Ottawa before parts of two seasons with the London Knights.

The Listowel native also coaches two minor hockey teams as well as providing mentorship to all coaches in Listowel Minor Hockey.
