Fire Safety Inspections Set To Go In Owen Sound

Owen Sound firefighters will go door to door in the south west portion of the city this spring offering voluntary fire safety inspections.

The Home Visitation and Assistance Program begins May 1 in the area south of 10th St. W and west of 2nd Ave. E.

On duty firefighters will canvass the area on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Residents can ask questions and ensure they have the right life safety devices, as well as properly placed carbon monoxide alarms.

Residents in other areas of the city can also request an inspection.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
