Goderich Council Will Consider NRStor Business In May

Goderich council has decided to defer a decision on NRStor's energy storage project until the next council meeting.

Mayor Kevin Morrison says several questions have been raised by the public and many of them were answered at this week's council meeting

However, council felt another couple of weeks to go over all of the information presented would be beneficial to the process.

Morrison pointed out the process is not about energy generation, but energy storage and simply involves storing compressed air in retired salt caverns.

He adds no fossil fuels are involved. The ingredients are basically air and water.

A decision is expected at council's next meeting on May 8.
