Grey County OPP have laid assault and weapons charges in connection to an incident at the Bluewater Youth and Adult Services facility in Chatsworth.
Police were called to the institution on Sideroad 6 Tuesday morning at around 10:30am.
A 15-year-old male resident was assaulted by another resident following a verbal altercation.
The victim suffered minor injuries, and retreated to his room. However, the other resident followed with a utility knife.
Police have charged a 17-year-old male with assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of fail to comply with a sentence under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
