Over $16K Worth Of Drugs Seized In Owen Sound Bust

A Toronto man is facing charges after police seized over $16,000 worth of cocaine and heroin during a bust in Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police Service says on Thursday afternoon, officers executed a search warrant at a hotel room in the city, where they recovered the drugs and over $1,000 in cash.

A 25-year-old Toronto man was arrested during the search. He is currently facing five charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and failing to comply with probation.

The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Friday.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.
