Community Improvement Program Proposed For Brussels

Huron East council is in the process of introducing a Community Improvement Program for the Brussels downtown area.

Mayor Bernie MacLellan describes the program as a win for the community as well as the property owners

It provides matching funding to property owners who want to improve the appearance of their main street property and even make structural improvements if that's required.

The bylaw for the program will come to Huron East council for approval Tuesday night and then there will be a twenty day comment period before it's finally approved.
