Hanover Hiring Blitz

A Hanover company plans a hiring blitz Wednesday.

Exceldor Foods needs more workers at its turkey processing plant.

General Manager Craig Shaw says they need another 30 to 50 employees to handle a new line of fresh and ready, non-frozen products that consumers will find on the grocery store shelves. He says new workers will be trained on the job.

"No specific educational needs. We just want people that will be here every day and will work hard and ensure that the safety of the product will be number one and the quality that we expect out of our Butterball products are their primary focus," says Shaw.

Shaw says the new line will encourage people to buy turkey on a day to day basis, not just for special days like Christmas and Thanksgiving. The hiring session tomorrow is at Launch Pad in Hanover on 10th Street from 9am to noon.
