Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash With Horse Drawn Carriage

A Milverton man is in hospital with life threatening injuries after a crash involving a motorcycle and horse drawn carriage.

The crash happened just after 7pm Wednesay on Perth Rd. 124 between Perth Lines 64 and 67.

Police say the motorcycle was travelling south on Perth Rd. 124 when it collided with a single, horse drawn carriage that was leaving a private laneway.

The motorcycle rider, 53-year-old Richard Kramer, was taken to a local hospital then airlifted to a London hospital where he remains with life threatening injuries.

The horse was seriously injured in the crash, but the occupants of the horse drawn carriage were uninjured.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
