Seven Conservative Leadership Candidates To Debate In Hepworth

Seven candidates for the leadership of the federal Conservative Party will join a debate hosted by Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller.

A handful of tickets are still available for The Conservative Leadership Showcase and debate on Saturday at the Hepworth-Shallow Lake Royal Canadian Legion.

BlackburnNews.com has been informed that Andrew Scheer, Kellie Leitch, Erin O'Toole, Lisa Raitt, Michael Chong, Chris Alexander, and Pierre Lemieux have confirmed their attendance.

Candidates Andrew Saxton and Rick Peterson were planning on attending by have since dropped out. And Kevin O'Leary has decided not to run for the leadership.

The debate starts at 2pm and will be followed by a BBQ and reception at 4:30pm

Miller is looking forward to hearing where the candidates stand on issues important to residents in Bruce and Grey.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
