Minor Flooding Possible In Grey Sauble Watershed

The Grey Sauble Conservation Authority has issued a watershed conditions statement warning that up 75 mm more rain could fall in the next few days.

That's on top of the up to 20 mm of that has already soaked the southern part of the region.  That means saturated ground and rising water levels. Localized flooding may occur in low lying areas that typically flood.

However, they expect flows to remain below the average spring runoff.

Grey Sauble staff will monitor conditions and provide updates if needs.

Residents should avoid slippery unstable banks, due to the dangerous cold and fast flowing waterways.

The Ausable Bayfield, Maitland Valley, Grand Valley and Saugeen Valley conservation authorities have issued similar warning or statements.
