Record Home Sales And Low Supply In Grey Bruce

The Grey Bruce area saw a new record for home sales in April .

The Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound says 314 homes changed hands in April.

That's up 14.6% from the same month a year ago.

So far this year, 848 units have been sold, which is also a record and a 10% increase from the same four months in 2016.

The average price for homes sold in April was a record $298,555. which is an increase of 17% year-over-year.

At the same time, new listings for April are down nearly 25%, the lowest level in more than three decades.

The 733 active listings represent a 51% drop over last year and the lowest level of overall supply since the late 1980s.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
