Two Hospitalized After Crash Near Wingham

Two people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash near Wingham.

The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police say on Tuesday just before 3pm, a Dodge Caravan travelling east on Howick-Turnberry Rd. was struck on the passenger side by a Ford Escape that was travelling north on Belmore Line.

The adult male driver of the Dodge and female passenger from the Ford both suffered serious injuries and were rushed to hospital.  No other injuries have been reported.

The intersection of Howick-Turnberry Rd. and Belmore Line was closed for several hours while officers conducted an investigation. The roadways were reopened just before 11pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
