Young Cyclist Hit In Owen Sound

Owen Sound police are looking for a motorist who struck an 11-year-old cyclist, and then left the scene.

Police say the young boy was riding to school about 8:10am Tuesday morning when an eastbound motorist on 16th St. E hit the boy's bike at 9th Ave. The boy fell from his bike, but fortunately wasn't injured.

The bicycle has minor damage.

Police are looking for a light blue hatch back, possibly a Chevy Cruze.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
