'Spring On The Trail' Weekend For G2G Volunteers

It's going to be a busy weekend for volunteers working on the Goderich-To-Guelph Rail Trail.

Their annual "Spring on the Trail" events Saturday will promote the work they've been doing in planting trees and preparing trail surfaces.  It's also major fundraiser, with events at both ends of the 127 km former CPR rail bed.

Activities are planned along the trail in Blyth, Millbank, Milverton and Middlebrook.

In Blyth, there's a "Learn to Pole Walk" at 10am and a bike tour of Blyth at 3pm.

In Millbank, there's a 20 km group bicycle ride starting at the trailhead at 10am. That ride goes to Linwood and back.

In Milverton, there's a Bike Rodeo from 11am to 1pm for youth 12 and under, a hike hosted by the Milverton Girl Guides, and a barbeque.

The G2G Rail Trail Experience is made up of three trail sections within four counties, and includes 13 communities.
