Deadline To Sign Up For Exeter Drug Forum

Parents, youth workers, teachers and community members can all benefit from a drug education forum in Exeter next week.

The session at South Huron District High School next Wednesday will talk about drugs like Fentanyl, which can be fatal in a quantity as small as 2 mg.

You can learn what Molly Pops and Purple Drank are.

The OPP Community Drug Action Team, and a local pharmacist will make presentations about the effects of drugs on the body, street lingo and safety.

Fatal vision goggles will help you see the cognitive and physical effects of impairment.

The Huron County Health Unit will have resources for parents who may have children experimenting with illegal drugs or underage drinking.

You need to RSVP by the end of the day tomorrow to join the seminar, which runs May 17 from 6:30pm to 9pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
