Georgian Bluffs Home Severely Damaged By Fire

A house fire in Georgian Bluffs caused severe damage to a home on Monday.

Grey County OPP say that on Monday at 3:55pm, they responded to a fire call with the Inter-Township Fire Department on Grey Rd. 3 in the township of Georgian Bluffs. The fire was extinguished and is deemed to be non-suspicious. The fire started after gasoline was used in an effort to ignite the wood in the fireplace.

A 17-year-old male, who suffered minor injuries, and a 38-year-old female fled the home, which suffered severe damage. No one involved needed to be taken to hospital.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
