Collision Sends Owen Sound Pedestrian To Hospital

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Owen Sound.

Emergency responders were called to the intersection of 10th St. W at 3rd Ave. W at about 10:30am Tuesday morning.

The male pedestrian is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.

A 68-year-old man from Kincardine is facing charges.

The collision closed the road for about an hour, but police say numerous drivers drove around the pylons put in place to divert traffic.

Drivers who fail to approach an accident scene where emergency lights are activated could face fines over $400.
