Grey Bruce Children's Water Festival This Week

Tuesday is opening day of the Grey Bruce Children’s Water Festival.

Hundreds of Grade 4 students from across the two counties will be at the Chesley Community Centre Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to learn about water conservation and protection.

This is the 16th year for the festival, and it involves dozens of teachers, parents and volunteers.

The three-day festival runs from 10am to 2pm each day at the Chesley Community Centre.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
