Hanover Police Investigating Pharmacy Robbery

The Hanover Police Service is investigating a robbery that occurred Monday evening at the Pharma Plus on 10th St.

The preliminary investigation determined that a lone male entered the pharmacy around 5:40pm through a rear entrance, indicated that he had a firearm, and demanded narcotics from the pharmacy staff.

The suspect then moved behind the counter and took a quantity of narcotics before fleeing on foot.

There were no injuries, and the quantity and types of narcotics that were taken has not been released.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s, 5’10” tall, with a thin build and blue eyes.  He was wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, dark gloves and a dark baseball style hat.  He attempted to hide his face with a mesh-type fabric over his face and head.

The Hanover Police Service continues to investigate and asks anyone with information on this case to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
