Two Girls Injured In Grey County ATV Crash

Grey County OPP say two girls were injured in an ATV collision in Southgate.

Police were called to the scene on a residential property on Hwy. 10 on Saturday at around 8:30pm, after a 15-year-old girl operating a 2009 Outlander lost control of the ATV, which rolled.

The operator and two passengers were thrown from the vehicle.

The girl and a 9-year-old, both from Newmarket, were taken to hospital in Newmarket with undisclosed injuries. A 24-year-old Southgate woman was not hurt.

All three riders were not wearing helmets at the time.

Grey County OPP encourage ATV owners and operators to ride safely and responsibly to reduce the risk of injury or death and to always wear an approved motorcycle helmet when riding.
