Blyth Memorial Hall Re-Opening Friday

Ontario's deputy premier has confirmed she will be in Blyth Friday.

Deb Matthews will join North Huron Reeve Neil Vincent, a representative of Canada’s Cultural Spaces Program, and other dignitaries for the official re-opening of the Blyth Memorial Hall.

The ceremony will begin at 4pm, followed by an Open House until 7pm.

The historic Memorial Hall has undergone a major interior and exterior renovation in the past year.

Upper hall upgrades include new seating, communications systems, and technical upgrades for theatre productions and on-stage events.  There's a more efficient heating, air conditioning and ventilation system.  The lower-level kitchen has been improved for conferences and group events. The bell tower and facade have also been restored, the courtyard has been redesigned, and there's better lighting and new signs.
