Hambleton Confirmed As Superintendent Of Education

The Bluewater District School Board has announced the appointment of a superintendent of education.

Following an in-depth hiring process, the board has appointed Paul Hambleton to the position, effective Wednesday.

He has been working in this role on an interim basis since the appointment of Superintendent of Education Alana Murray to the position of director of education this past March.

Paul Hambleton's more than 30 years of experience in education includes teacher, vice principal and principal in a variety of Bluewater schools.

In recent years, his work at the system level has involved a wide range of portfolios, such as early years, curriculum K-12, safe and accepting schools, indigenous education, and new teacher development.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
