Man, Woman And Child Injured In Centre Wellington Crash

Three people are in hospital, including a 3-year-old child, after a two-vehicle crash in Centre Wellington Township north of Fergus.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 5pm, a pickup truck traveling south on Second Line struck a minivan that was headed east on Sideroad 15.

The male driver of the van was airlifted to a hamilton hospital with serious injuries, while a female passenger and 3-year-old child were taken by EMS to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.

Sideroad 15 was closed at Second Line while officers conducted an investigation. The road has since been reopened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
