Huron County Hosting Public Meetings For Cycling Trails

Huron County's Cycling Advisory Committee is working with members of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail to identify the preferred biking trails through Huron County.

Planner Susanna Reid explains Huron County council adopted a Cycling Strategy in January of this year with a goal of improving road safety for all road users as well as increasing cycling tourism. Reid says part of the challenge is finding the balance between the most scenic and the safest routes so they're hosting two public meetings to ask Huron County cyclists where they like to ride and what could be done to improve those routes. Reid says the the Cycling Strategy hopes to work with cyclists and motorists to make Huron County roads safer for everyone who uses them.

The public meetings are being held from five until eight in the evening of May 31st at the Blyth Arena and from five until eight at the Crediton Community Centre on June 15th.
