Charges Laid In Serious Collision East Of Arthur

A 22-year-old Georgetown man is charged in connection with a collision east of Arthur the sent a man to Hamilton hospital with serious injuries.

Wellington County OPP say they were called to a collision late Friday afternoon around 5:10pm, at the intersection of Sideroad 15 and Second Line, West Garafraxa.

In a release, police say a southbound pickup truck on Second Line struck an eastbound van on Sideroad 15.

The driver of the van was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. A woman and a 3-year-old child in the van were taken to local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the pick up, Nicholas McKay of Georgetown was not hurt. He is charged with failing to stop for a stop sign.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
