Huron Centennial Expecting Big Crowd For 50th Anniversary

The principal of Huron Centennial Public School in Brucefield says they're not sure how many people to expect for Saturday's 50th anniversary of the school.

However, Carol Rauser says they're preparing lunch for close to 500.

She says guests will be asked to sign in as the enter the school and the entire school will be open for viewing. They'll have a barbeque outside and alumni Jerry Bell will provide music for lunch. They'll have a ball game and Rauser invites former students and their guests to tour the trails and nature area behind the school.

Rauser says Avon Maitland Board Chair Randy Wagler will be on hand around 1pm to say a few words and the first principal of the school, back in 1967, Arnold Mathers will be there to bring greetings.
