Post Four Dominates the Second Race Card at Clinton

Post position four continued to give drivers good luck at the Clinton Raceway.

Last weekend six out of nine races saw the position win and yesterday it won five out of nine races.

In a release the race track says, 5-year-old gelding Black Jack Killean was one of yesterday's post four winners and that victory came in race five in a time of 2:00.4. It was also the one thousandth career training win for Scott McNiven of Putnam, Ontario. McNiven trains out of the Dorchester Fair Grounds and has over eight million dollars in purse earnings.

Casting a pall on the sunny day was the injury to Jemba Jemba in the final turn of the eighth race. Officials say Jemba Jemba suffered a shattered cannon bone and had to be euthanized.
