Conners Tied for 55th at Rex Hospital Open in North Carolina

Listowel's Corey Conners is 1-under 70 after the opening round of the Web.com Tour's Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The 25-year-old had five birdies and four bogeys and is tied for 55th.

American, Chesson Hadley is in the lead at 7-under 64 and has a one stroke lead over Mexico's Carlos Ortiz and Germany's Stephan Jaeger.

Calgary's Ryan Yip is the low Canadian at 4-under 67.

Conners is currently ranked 26th on the Money List and has two top ten finishes on the PGA's Web.com Tour this year.
