Drugs, Weapons Seized From Huron Township Home

A man from Huron Township is heading to court on weapons and drug charges.

The OPP officers from several units and detachments, including a canine team, executed a search warrant Tuesday at a property along Concession 10 of Huron Township.

They seized marijuana, oxycodone, Percocet, morphine and nabilone. The combined value of the drugs was about $3,000. Related property was also seized, including trafficking paraphernalia, prohibited weapons and ammunition.

A 54-year-old man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of possession of controlled substances, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and careless storage of a firearm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
