Residents Say Final Goodbye To Four Bluewater Schools

School closing ceremonies get underway Wednesday as four Bluewater District schools will shut their doors for good this year.

Residents will get a chance to say farewell to Dufferin Elementary School Wednesday evening, starting with a BBQ between 5pm and 6:30pm. There will be informal school tours, and a closing assembly at 7pm.

Closing ceremonies for Chesley District Community School's secondary section will be held in the gymnasium at 1:45pm on Thursday, with an assembly and refreshments.

Bayview Public School will hold a spring carnival at 5pm Thursday, including a BBQ and activities. The official closing ceremony starts at 6pm.

Sydenham Community school also marks its closing tomorrow starting at 6pm. There will be a talent show, refreshments, tours and official ceremony
