High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

<p><div>While the "Kick-Off to Canada Day" Weekend ball game is still a go, the Mitchell Mets have announced that the Venezuelan national team is not taking part.</p><p>
In a Facebook post, the Mets announced the team is not coming to Ontario prior to the WBSC Men's Softball World Championship in Whitehorse.</p><p>
The Mets will be determining this week what team they will be hosting on Thursday, June 29th.</p><p>
Milverton was also planning to host the team from Venezuela over the Canada Day weekend along with the men's teams from  Australia and the Dominican Republic. No word on how that event will be affected.</div></p>
